What’s Happening Beyond Markets?
- The RBI has shortened its zero-cost forex swap facility for banks to August 31 (from September 30). This early closure follows robust inflows exceeding $50 billion from NRI deposits, strategically addressing domestic liquidity concerns while bolstering India’s foreign exchange reserves.
- As per Thomas Cook India’s Forex Report 2026, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities now drive 53% of India’s foreign exchange demand, expanding the market beyond traditional metropolitan centres. Leisure travel remains the primary contributor, accounting for 57% of the overall outbound forex requirement.
- As per a NITI Aayog report, India’s solar module manufacturing capacity sharply increased to 100 GW. However, the industry still faces an upstream capacity shortage, remaining heavily dependent on imports from China for critical components like solar cells and polysilicon wafers.
- India’s 10-year G-Sec yield rose to 6.81%, reaching a two-week high. Bond prices weakened after the RBI unexpectedly closed its concessional forex swap facility early, while rising Brent crude prices near $90 further dampened overall sentiment.

What is Central Pivot Range?
Share.Market’s Central Pivot Range (CPR) is an indicator that establishes a stock’s key support and resistance zone using three distinct lines instead of just one. Think of a traditional single pivot point like a thin tightrope; prices easily cross it, triggering false signals. The CPR is like a wider safety bridge. It gives prices a full band to test before confirming a true breakout.
On a stock chart, these three lines act as a dynamic magnet for price action. The range’s width even predicts volatility: a narrow CPR signals a strong upcoming trending day, while a wide CPR suggests a choppy, sideways market. For intraday traders, this framework is crucial. It prevents you from getting trapped by normal market noise, helping you gauge the day’s true directional bias before entering a trade.
