What are the price bands during CAS?

Price bands or circuit limits are the maximum allowed limits a price can move up or down during a CAS session.

  • Cash market stocks: Orders can only be placed within a fixed range of ±3% based on the stock’s reference price (calculated between 3:00 PM and 3:15 PM).
  • Stock futures: Price limits for stock futures are also reset to a fixed ±3% from 3:15 PM to 3:40 PM so they stay aligned with the cash market.
