The Importance of Asset Allocation for Long-Term Portfolio Success
Your long-term investment returns in India depend far less on which individual stocks or mutual fund schemes you pick and far more on how you divide capital across asset classes. This strategic distribution and asset allocation have been shown by decades of research to explain roughly 90% of the variability in portfolio returns over time.
Understanding and applying asset allocation changes the entire approach to wealth creation. Instead of chasing last year’s winners (mid-caps one year, gold the next), Indian investors can construct a portfolio that aligns with personal goals and survives the inevitable market cycles of the Nifty, Sensex, gold, and debt markets.
