How can I close my Share.Market demat account if I have holdings?

You can close your account online via the Share.Market app, but before proceeding, please ensure you meet the requirements in the checklist below: 

1. Tap your Profile icon > Investment and Trading Account
2. Select the Demat Account tab 
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Close Account 
4. Tap Begin Account Closure > CLOSE ACCOUNT
5. Share your feedback on how we can improve and tap PROCEED
6. Select your target depository: CDSL or NSDL
7. Enter your target Demat Account ID (where you want to transfer your stocks)
8. If transferring to NSDL, upload your Client Master Report
9. Complete the e-Sign verification by submitting the OTP sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number

Your account will be closed within 2 working days after submission. If you face any issues, you can raise a support ticket for manual closure.

Note: Account closure is permanent. Once closed, you will not be able to reopen your account on Share.Market.
