Bank of Maharashtra
On a consolidated basis, the bank’s net profit rose 26.62% to ₹7,016.86 crore as compared to ₹5,541.78 crore for the previous year. It’s total income increased by 15.57% at ₹32,823.72 crore for the year ended March 31, 2026, as compared to ₹28,402.61 crore for year ended March 31, 2025.
Vedanta
The mining major has fixed May 01, 2026 as the record date for its ongoing demerger. Shareholders of Vedanta will receive equity shares in four businesses — Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd, Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd, Malco Energy Ltd. and Vedanta Iron and Steel Ltd. — in proportion to their existing holdings.
SML Mahindra
Formerly SML Isuzu reported a modest rise in profit for the fourth quarter on Monday, even as revenue growth remained strong and margins came under pressure. The company’s board has recommended a final dividend of 235%, or ₹23.50 per equity share, for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy
The company has been declared as L1 bidder in a tender of Coal India for a turn-key EPC package for development of a 875 MW (AC) grid connected Solar PV Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. The total value of contract including O&M and taxes is around ₹3,490 crore.
Indian Energy Exchange
Shares of the Indian Energy Exchange slipped 6% after CERC released draft notification on power market norms for public comments once again, including framework for market coupling. Market coupling could create uniform electricity pricing across platforms, threatening IEX’s market dominance.

What’s Happening Beyond Markets?
