Why is my order stuck in pending status for too long instead of executing immediately?

Your order is currently in Placed status. This means the order has been accepted successfully, but it is still waiting to be executed.

This can happen due to one of the following reasons:

  •  If the market is closed or you placed an After Market Order (AMO), the order will remain in place until the market opens.
  •  If you placed a Limit order, execution will happen only when the market price matches your limit price. Kindly wait for the price to match.
  •  If there are not enough sellers at your desired price, the order stays in the exchange queue until matching sellers are available.
  •  If the stock has hit the upper circuit, there may be no sellers available, so the order cannot be executed immediately.
  •  The stock may be temporarily restricted or halted, which can delay execution.

Once the order is matched and executed, the status will update automatically.
