Why should I share proof of income to activate F&O?
Providing income proof serves as a mandatory safety check to ensure you have the necessary financial capacity to manage the risks in the F&O segment.
Your F&O activation depends on your Share.Market onboarding status and investment value:
Scenario 1: Your are onboarded on Share.market and your holdings are above ₹1,000
If your Share.Market holdings (stocks or wealth baskets) exceed ₹1,000, you do not have to upload income proof manually. Your existing demat balance will automatically serve as verification.
Scenario 2: Your are not onboarded on Share.market or your holdings are below ₹1,000
If you are not onboarded to Share.Market or your current portfolio value is below ₹1,000, you must submit one of the following documents to complete your F&O activation:
- Bank statement: A statement covering the last 6 months, showing a transaction value or closing balance above ₹1,000.
- Salary slip: Your most recent monthly slip reflecting a gross income above ₹5,000.
