What are the Brokerage charges on Share.Market?
At Share.Market, brokerage is charged at ₹20 per order or 0.1% of the order value, whichever is lower, with a minimum charge of ₹2. However, as per SEBI regulations: brokerage cannot exceed 2.5% of the total order value.
For example, you place an order worth ₹60.
- As per the 0.1% rule, brokerage would be 0.1% of ₹60 = ₹0.06, which is lower than ₹2.
- So, a minimum charge of ₹2 should apply. But—₹2 is 3.33% of ₹60, which exceeds SEBI’s 2.5% limit.
- Since brokerage charges cannot exceed 2.5% of the total order value, the correct charge is 2.5% of ₹60 = ₹1.50
