For most people, investing isn’t difficult because there are no options, but because there are too many options.
With thousands of listed stocks, every day there is new news, tips, and noise. For most beginners, this becomes stressful. That’s where WealthBaskets come in.
WealthBaskets are ready-made baskets of stocks and ETFs that you can invest in directly. Each basket is built around a specific theme or strategy, created and managed by SEBI-registered professionals.
There’s no lock-in, no subscription fee, and no guesswork, so you see exactly what you’re investing in.
But how are WealthBaskets actually made? Let’s break it down.
Step 1: Starts With an Idea
Every WealthBasket starts with a theme. Themes answer the simple question: What kind of stocks should this basket include?
This theme could be based on sectors (like infrastructure or financial services), strategies or ETFs.
For instance, the “Smart Momentum” WealthBasket looks at stocks that are going up currently and belong to financially strong companies. The “MNC Advantage” WealthBasket focuses on Indian companies that have big global parent companies behind them.
This step defines the lens through which we evaluate and select stocks.
Step 2: Screen Stocks
Once a theme is chosen, the next step is to identify which stocks best fit that theme. To do this, we apply factor-based analysis.
So what is factor-based analysis? Factor-based analysis involves analyzing stocks based on a certain set of attributes, like –
- The Momentum Factor checks if a stock’s price is trending upward.
(Think of it like a ball rolling downhill — once it picks up speed, it often keeps rolling in the same direction for a while.)
- The Quality Factor looks at how strong a company is. Does it have steady profits, low debt, and a good track record? A “quality” company is a financially healthy company.
- The Value Factor is about whether the stock is cheap compared to what it’s really worth. (Like buying a good product at a discount.)
- The Volatility Factor checks how much the stock’s price jumps up and down.
(Lower volatility means the stock is steadier; higher volatility means it swings more.)
- The Sentiment Factor checks the mood of the market.
(Is it positive about the stock?)
A score is assigned to each stock based on how strongly it aligns with the chosen theme.
Step 3: Rank, Shortlist, and Diversify
From this list, the best-scoring stocks are selected. But building a basket is not just about picking the “top names.” Balance is key.
In some baskets, balance means spreading across different sectors and companies so that risk isn’t concentrated in one place.
Balance could also mean not being over-dependent on any one company — by mixing leaders, challengers, and niche players within the sector, and by ensuring no single stock takes up too much weight. This way, even within one sector, the basket stays steady and less risky.
Step 4: Building the Basket
From the final list of shortlisted stocks, a basket is constructed. Each stock is given a specific weight, depending on its role. Some bring stability, some provide growth, and others add bigger opportunities. Together, they form a complete basket that reflects the chosen theme.
Step 5: Keeping It Updated
Markets evolve, and so do the WealthBaskets. That’s why these aren’t a “set and forget” product. Each basket is reviewed and updated regularly by Share.Market Research
If a stock no longer matches the theme, it is replaced. This process, called rebalancing, keeps your basket aligned with its original purpose, without you needing to track every market move yourself.
Every WealthBasket reflects a research-backed process, designed to manage risk, capture opportunities, and deliver performance aligned with a clear investment goal.
