ITCHOTELSITC Hotels saw its revenue rise 24.20% to ₹1,280.28 crore, while profit grew 9.64% to ₹236.83 crore. The company was recognised as the “Best Luxury Hotel Chain” by Travel + Leisure for the ninth consecutive year.
DALBHARATDalmia Bharat reported Q3FY26 numbers, with sales volume growing 9.5% to 7.3 MnT. Revenue from operations increased by 10.2% to ₹3,506 crore, while profit jumped significantly by 93.9% YoY to ₹128 crore.

What’s Happening Beyond Markets?
- Rupee hit an all-time low of 91.3 per dollar amid $2.7 billion in foreign outflows this month. Geopolitical tensions and a postponed US trade agreement have triggered risk aversion, with the RBI intervening to curb volatility.
- The Finance Ministry has announced the hike of the Basic Customs Duty on interactive flat panel displays to 20% to encourage domestic manufacturing. The Ministry also reduced duties on open cells to 5% to correct the inverted duty structure and support the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
- India aims to expand its airport network to 350 by 2047, up from 164 currently, to democratise air travel. As per Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu at Davos, the government plans to build 50 new airports in the next five years to boost connectivity.
- India’s fertilizer imports are on track to hit a record $18 billion this fiscal year, a 76% surge. Ample monsoon rains have prompted farmers to expand crop areas, driving up demand for key nutrients like urea and DAP.
- The government will infuse ₹5,000 crore into Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to expand credit access for MSMEs. This capital, spread over three years, aims to increase beneficiary enterprises to over ₹1 crore by 2028 and generate significant employment.
