The textile company snapped a three-day losing streak, amid positive sentiments around the US- India bilateral trade agreement. The Centre has set a target to scale the textile market to $350 billion from $194 billion in FY26, implying a CAGR of 13%, driven by strong export growth and steady domestic demand.
Gautam Adani used the group’s AGM to lay out an expansive vision spanning AI, nuclear energy, data centres, airports, power and defence, while highlighting record investments, strong financial performance and long-term infrastructure ambitions.
The company received RERA approval for its Gurugram real estate project, marking a key regulatory milestone. Expansion beyond its core Mumbai market strengthens the company’s geographic diversification strategy.
The PSU’s shares fell after the government pared its holdings through OFS transactions in several public sector enterprises and banks, including Coal India, NHPC, General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC), Central Bank of India, and NLC India, helping it garner significant disinvestment proceeds so far this fiscal.

What’s Happening Beyond Markets?
- As per a Crisil Intelligence report, the RBI’s decision to withdraw the interest rate ceiling on fresh foreign currency non-resident (FCNR-B) deposits of three-five year tenors till September 30 provides banks greater flexibility to offer competitive rates, thereby supporting foreign currency deposit inflows.
- India has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into imports of Cold Rolled Grain Oriented (CRGO) Electrical Steel and Amorphous Metal from China, Japan, South Korea and Russia. The investigation was initiated after JSW JFE Electrical Steel Nashik filed a petition to the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), which alleged that low-priced imports are causing significant injury to the domestic industry.
- In a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations, India and the United States have held high-level trade talks aimed at salvaging and recalibrating a proposed bilateral trade agreement after changes in US tariff policy disrupted a framework negotiated earlier this year.
- Government think tank NITI Aayog in the eighth edition of its Trade Watch Quarterly report has said that India’s pharmaceutical supply chain continues to rely heavily on China, with around 65 per cent of critical Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and key starting materials being imported from China. It noted that that stricter environmental compliance norms have led to a significant increase in manufacturing and research costs for domestic pharmaceutical companies.
