India’s top auto manufacturers posted a mixed performance in June 2025, with TVS Motor and Mahindra & Mahindra showing strong double-digit growth, while Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, and SML Isuzu saw varied trends across domestic and export segments.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. reported total auto sales of 78,969 units in June, up 14% YoY, driven by an 18% jump in SUV sales to 47,306 units in the domestic market. This marked the company’s highest-ever quarterly SUV performance, with YTD SUV volumes reaching 1.52 lakh units, a 22% growth.

The commercial vehicle segment showed mixed results, with <2T LCVs declining by 20%, while the 2T–3.5T category grew 4%. Three-wheeler sales (including EVs) rose sharply by 37% to 8,454 units.

TVS Motor Company Ltd. reported 402,001 units sold in June 2025, registering a 20% YoY growth, backed by broad-based demand across motorcycles, scooters, and three-wheelers.

  • Three-wheelers: 42% growth
  • EVs: 14,400 units, slightly lower YoY due to supply chain constraints

Exports jumped 54%, with two-wheeler exports surging 58%, reflecting a sharp recovery in international markets. The company also reported its highest-ever quarterly sales at 12.77 lakh units for Q1FY26.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. posted total sales of 3.61 lakh units in June, up 1% YoY. While domestic two-wheeler sales declined 16%, exports grew 18%, lifting overall volumes. Commercial vehicle sales grew 14% led by a 49% rise in CV exports.For Q1FY26, total volumes reached 11.11 lakh units, marginally higher YoY. Domestic two-wheeler demand remained subdued, while export recovery, especially in commercial vehicles, provided a buffer.

SML Isuzu Ltd. reported total sales of 1,871 units in June 2025, marking a 6.3% increase over the same month last year. The growth was led by a 41.6% surge in cargo vehicle sales, which rose to 480 units from 339 in June 2024. Passenger vehicle sales, however, declined slightly by 2.1% YoY to 1,391 units.For the April–June quarter (Q1FY26), total sales stood at 4,926 units, reflecting a 12.5% YoY growth. Cargo segment volumes were up 46.3%, while passenger vehicle sales rose 4%, indicating a stronger market for goods transport vehicles compared to people-movers.

Eicher Motors Ltd. Royal Enfield recorded sales of 89,540 motorcycles in June, a 22% increase YoY. Models up to 350cc led the growth with 25% rise, while bikes above 350cc grew 10%. Exports more than doubled, rising 79% to 12,583 units.

For Q1FY26, total Royal Enfield sales stood at 2.65 lakh units, up 16% YoY, signaling continued demand for mid-sized premium motorcycles in both domestic and global markets.

Eicher Motors VECV reported flat performance in June with 7,363 units sold, marginally lower than 7,424 units a year ago. While the light and medium-duty (LMD) trucks and buses showed positive growth in specific categories, overall domestic volumes declined 2.5% YoY.

Exports were up 13%, driven by stronger demand for LMD trucks and buses. For the April–June quarter, total volumes rose 9.7% YoY to 21,610 units, indicating modest growth momentum in the CV space.
