Adani Power Ltd.ADANIPOWER₹710.90 +12.60%

Adani Power Ltd. is a prominent part of the Adani portfolio and is India’s largest private thermal power producer. The company is strategically focused on expanding its operational capacity to meet the nation’s growing energy demands, with a goal of reaching 30 GW by 2030. It’s actively engaged in project execution and strategic acquisitions to bolster its market position.

The company has approved a stock split in the ratio of 1:5, meaning each equity share with a face value of ₹10 will be subdivided into five equity shares with a face value of ₹2 each. The record date for the split has been fixed as Monday, September 22, 2025. While the total value of investment will remain unchanged, the number of shares held by investors will double, improving share affordability and market liquidity.

In Q1 FY26, Adani Power reported a profit after tax of ₹3,305 crore, reflecting a decrease from ₹3,913 crore in Q1 FY25, primarily due to lower merchant tariffs and higher operational expenses from recent acquisitions. Despite a slight decline in continuing total revenue to ₹14,167 crore from ₹15,052 crore in the previous year, the company demonstrated resilience by increasing its power sale volume by 1.6% to 24.6 BU, thanks to a growing operational capacity that reached 18,150 MW in July 2025.

Over the last five years, this stock has given multibagger returns of over 1,795%.

In a significant development for the company, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on September 18, 2025, cleared the Adani Group of all allegations related to the Hindenburg report.

SEBI’s final order concluded that the allegations were not established, and that the transactions in question, did not qualify as related-party transactions under the regulations applicable at the time.

Post SEBI’s order, shares of Adani Power surged over 12%, reaching an intraday high of ₹716.50 apiece.
