If you buy or sell 10 shares at ₹100 each, your trade value is ₹1,000 (10 × ₹100). Standard brokerage at 0.1% calculates to ₹1 (₹1,000 × 0.1%). Since this is below our base limit, the minimum fee of ₹2 will be applied.
Scenario 2:
If you buy or sell 100 shares at ₹100 each, your trade value is ₹10,000 (100 × ₹100). Standard brokerage at 0.1% calculates to ₹10 (₹10,000 × 0.1%). Since this falls between our minimum and maximum limits, you pay the exact fee of ₹10.
Scenario 3:
If you buy or sell 500 shares at ₹100 each, your trade value is ₹50,000 (500 × ₹100). Standard brokerage at 0.1% calculates to ₹50 (₹50,000 × 0.1%). However, because charges are capped at a maximum threshold, your final fee stops at ₹20.
This structure ensures you always pay a fair fee regardless of your trade size.
