What are cautionary messages displayed when trading?

Cautionary messages are alerts shown while placing orders in certain stocks flagged by the exchange for risks like unusual price movement, regulatory issues, or surveillance actions (like GSM, ASM, ESM). These help you make informed decisions before proceeding.

If a stock has one or more such flags, a pop-up will appear with the reason (e.g., under ASM, unpaid listing fee, or in F&O ban). You must confirm the alert to continue placing your order.

For a detailed list of cautionary messages, refer to the official NSE circular: Circular SURV64402.
