What happens if my stop loss leg is not executed till the end of the trading day?

Since cover are orders, they are automatically squared off at the end of the trading session. Here’s what happens in different scenarios:

  • If your primary is fully but the SL leg is not triggered, our risk management system will convert the SL leg into a market order and exit at the best available price.
  • If your primary order is partially executed, the unfilled quantity will be canceled, and the SL leg will be squared off only for the executed portion.
  • If your primary order is not executed at all, both the primary and SL legs will be canceled automatically at the end of the day.
