If a payment is made to an unverified or incorrect UPI ID, you should immediately contact your bank and report the transaction. 

You should also inform the concerned intermediary and raise a complaint with SEBI through its grievance redressal mechanism. Prompt reporting increases the chances of recovery and helps prevent further misuse.
