Who is the regulator of the Indian stock market?

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), established under the SEBI Act 1992, is the principal regulatory authority for stock exchanges in India. SEBI’s primary function is to protect investors’ interests and regulate the market.

SEBI is responsible for:
