What is a BSDA?
The Basic Service Demat Account (BSDA), introduced by SEBI in 2012, is a special account to help small investors.
With a BSDA, you don’t have to pay any AMC if your holdings are below ₹4,00,000. For holdings between ₹4 lakh and ₹10 lakh, the AMC is ₹100. If your holdings exceed ₹10 lakh, the account will be treated as a regular demat account.
