What are the limitations of BSDA?

You can’t keep more than ₹10 lakh (capital+profit) in a BSDA.

For example, if you invest ₹8.5 lakh and your total grows to ₹10.1 lakh, your account will switch to a regular demat account, and you’ll need to pay the regular annual fee.

Additionally, BSDA can be opened by the account holder only.
