Can I check all my demat accounts using my PAN?

The number of demat accounts held by an investor can be found in the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS), which provides a summary of holdings and transactions across CDSL, NSDL, and mutual funds.

Frequency of CAS:

  • CAS is sent monthly if there are any transactions in your demat or mutual fund accounts.
  • If there are no transactions, the statement is sent half-yearly.

You can check your CAS using either of the following methods:

1. Via CDSL Website

To download your CAS directly from CDSL:

Enter your PAN number.

Provide your 16-digit demat account number.

Enter your Date of Birth and click Submit.

Enter the OTP received and click Submit.

Click on Download CAS.

Select the desired period and click Search.

Click on to download or to email the CAS.

This will show details of demat accounts held with both CDSL and NSDL.

2. Via DigiLocker (New SEBI-Compliant Method)

As per SEBI’s guidelines, effective April 1, 2025, CAS is now also accessible through DigiLocker. Here’s you can access via Digi Locker:

Use the Search Documents feature and search for CDSL.

Select Consolidated Account Statement.

Enter your 16-digit demat ID and PAN.

Click on Get Document to retrieve your CAS.
