Here’s a quick wrap-up where we break down the performance of key indices, top corporate movers, and the major economic headlines of the day.
Nifty 50 and Sensex gave up early gains to end a volatile trading session flat on Wednesday, June 10. The sudden market reversal was primarily driven by investor profit-booking, heavy foreign investor selling worth ₹4,566.03 crore the previous day, and weak global cues stemming from stalled US-Iran peace talks.
Consequently, broad-based selling dragged almost all sectoral indices into the red, led by the Nifty Media index, while the Nifty FMCG, Private Bank, and Financial Services indices were the only gainers.

What is the Double Top Pattern?
In stock trading, a double top is a chart pattern that looks like the letter “M,” signalling a stock’s price is about to drop. Think of it like a hiker climbing a mountain. They reach a steep peak, get tired, and retreat to base camp. They try again but hit a wall at the exact same altitude, finally giving up and heading all the way back down.
On a stock chart, this happens when a price hits a high, dips, rallies to that same high, and then falls below its previous low (the “neckline”). For everyday investors, this “M” shape is a major warning sign. It suggests the stock has exhausted its upward momentum and that a downward trend is likely, meaning it might be time to sell.
