How Is the Basis of Allotment Decided?
The basis of allotment follows SEBI’s standard framework and is the same across mainboard IPOs, including Lumino Industries. In the retail category, if the issue is oversubscribed, allotment is done through a computerised lottery (draw of lots), so each successful applicant gets at least one full lot rather than a partial allocation. In the NII and QIB categories, allotment is proportionate to the shares bid for, subject to the rounding rules the registrar applies when a category is oversubscribed.
What Happens If You’re Not Allotted Shares?
If you don’t receive an allotment, the amount blocked through ASBA is unblocked automatically, and refunds for other application modes are processed by 2 September 2026. You’ll also get an email/SMS update from the registrar and your depository.
What Will Lumino Industries Do With the IPO Proceeds?
Of the ₹500 crore fresh issue, ₹337 crore is earmarked for prepaying or repaying certain outstanding company borrowings, ₹15.01 crore for capital expenditure – purchase of equipment and machinery, civil works and interior development at an existing manufacturing facility – with the remainder set aside for general corporate purposes. The separate ₹200 crore offer-for-sale is the sale of existing shares by promoters Devendra Goel (₹150 crore) and Jay Goel (₹50 crore). That money goes to them personally, not to the company.
