What is PCE Inflation?

PCE (Personal Consumption Expenditures) measures how much people are spending and how much prices are rising on what they buy.

Think of it as the Fed’s favorite thermometer for inflation in the U.S.

It covers everything from groceries to health care, and adjusts for when people switch to cheaper alternatives (like buying dal instead of paneer when prices spike).
