  • India’s net FDI plunged 96.5% in FY25 to just $353 million, its lowest ever, amid record foreign exits and higher outward investments by Indian firms.
  • Leaders of G7 economies pledged to address global economic imbalances and warned of tougher sanctions on Russia. They also called out unfair trade practices, hinting at China, and stressed stronger supply chain resilience.
  • China’s central bank injected CNY 500 billion into banks via its one-year lending tool to keep liquidity flowing. With CNY 125 billion maturing, this results in a net addition of CNY 375 billion.

What is an Offer for Sale (OFS)?

An Offer for Sale (OFS) is when large shareholders, like promoters or the government, sell their shares in a listed company through the stock exchange.

It’s a way to reduce their stake without going through a full IPO or block deal. The shares are offered to the public, often at a discount, for a limited time (usually 1–2 days).

For investors, OFS offers a chance to buy into established companies, but always check:

Why is the stake being sold? Is the pricing attractive?

How’s the company’s recent performance?

Sometimes, it’s a great opportunity or a subtle red flag.
