What Are Asset Management Companies (AMCs)?

Asset Management Companies (AMCs) are SEBI-registered firms that pool money from multiple investors and invest it professionally in stocks, bonds, and other securities.

Think of them as expert money managers handling your investments.

AMCs hire qualified fund managers and research teams who study markets full-time.

When you invest ₹10,000 in an equity mutual fund, the AMC’s fund manager decides which companies to buy equities (shares) in using your money and everyone else’s.

AMCs give you access to professional expertise and spread your risk across many investments – something difficult to do on your own with limited money.
