• India Ratings cut India’s GDP growth forecast to 6.3% for FY26 from 6.6%, citing US tariff hikes and weak investment climate as headwinds despite monetary easing tailwinds.
• India’s auto sector can cut manufacturing emissions by 87% by 2050 through green electricity and low-carbon steel, beyond just EV adoption, says Council on Energy, Environment and Water. Report.
• India’s public sector banks’ gross NPAs dropped sharply from 9.11% in March 2021 to 2.58% in March 2025 through comprehensive government and RBI reforms, including IBC implementation.
• India and the UK will sign a landmark trade deal on Thursday during India’s PM visit, boosting bilateral trade with reduced tariffs as US-India talks stall.
