Shriram Pistons surged after its Q4 & FY25 results. The company reported a 15% y-o-y increase in revenue and 30.1% increase in PAT for Q4. For the full year FY25, the company reported a 14.9% increase in revenue and 17.5% increase in PAT
Niva Bupa shares surged after reporting strong FY25 results. PAT more than doubled YoY to ₹214 crore, while full-year gross written premium rose 32% to ₹7,407 crore.
Symphony shares rose after the company posted its highest-ever revenue and profits for both Q4 and FY25. Annual revenue grew 36% to ₹1,576 crore, while March quarter revenue jumped 47% year-on-year. The company also reported record EBITDA and PAT for the full year and the quarter.
Canara Bank posted strong FY25 results with net profit up 33% YoY to ₹5,004 crore. Global business grew 11%, retail credit surged 43%, and asset quality improved.
The agrochemical manufacturer’s shares fell after China imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of Cypermethrin from India. It has levied the highest — 166.2% anti-dumping duty — on UPL, followed by 62% each on Meghmani Organics, Bharat Rasayan and Heranba Industries.

- The India-UK Free Trade Agreement is expected to slash tariffs, benefitting automakers and liquor companies. It will also increase bilateral trade, promote cooperation in financial technology and cross-border payments.
- The Competition Commission of India has announced regulations for determining the cost of production to effectively assess alleged predatory pricing and deep discounting practices, especially in the quick commerce and e-commerce segments.
- The Indian Rupee plunged to 85.7 per USD after escalating tensions with Pakistan drove investors to pivot toward assets outside of India
- The RBI is likely to transfer a record ₹3 lakh crore surplus to the government for the last fiscal, 50% higher than last year. This increase is due to strong forex gains and higher interest income, giving the government more fiscal space.
- The government has increased the price sugar mills must pay farmers for sugarcane by 4.41%, raising it to ₹355 per quintal for the next season. This will 50 million farmers and 500,000 sugar mill workers.

Anti-Dumping Duty
An anti-dumping duty is a tariff that a government imposes on imports, if it believes that the exporting country is selling goods significantly below the fair market value. It is a tariff meant to protect domestic markets and businesses.
For example, a few years ago, India imposed an anti dumping duty on Chinese toys to protect its domestic toy industry from cheap imports being sold below fair market value.
